Job Title: Aerospace Assembler (Weekend Shift)

Job Description

Join our team as an Aerospace Assembler, where you will be responsible for the assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components. You will work on-site at a major aerospace facility located near the Sky Harbor Airport. Your role will involve reading blueprints, using power and hand tools, and performing electric bond checks to ensure the highest quality assembly of built components and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Utilize power tools, hand tools, drills, and torque wrenches to assemble parts.

  • Perform electric bond checks.

  • Understand and apply Honeywell specifications (preferred).

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience in an aerospace environment (highly preferred).

  • 2-3 years of assembly experience.

  • Experience with large parts.

  • Understanding of Honeywell specifications (preferred).

  • Proficiency with mechanical assembly, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Familiarity with basic quality verification practices such as torque settings, electrical bond checks, and dimensional measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive or other industries is acceptable.

  • Experience with commercial or military aircraft engines is a plus.

  • Ability to follow all health and safety guidelines.

Work Environment

You will be working in an aerospace manufacturing environment, on-site at a major facility near Sky Harbor Airport. The team is tight-knit and follows Lean Manufacturing principles. The weekend shift hours are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6am to 6pm, where you will work 36 hours and get paid for 40. Candidates must be able to train on day shifts for a couple of weeks before starting the weekend shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
