Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team in the chemicals manufacturing industry, based in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is crucial in handling a broad scope of work in a complex, international-accounting environment, including credit management, cash application, financial analysis, process improvement, and support for internal and external audits.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily operations of the A/R & Credit departments while demonstrating strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

• Own specific month-end close processes to achieve financial reporting timelines.

• Analyze data to provide insight to local management and the corporate head office.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports.

• Propose and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of A/R and finance/accounting overall, optimizing accuracy and procedural efficiency.

• Support cash application and treasury functions as needed.

• Provide ad-hoc analytical support on special projects as required.

• Assist with the implementation of policy changes and support managers with creating and implementing changes to work assignments, methods, or procedures to meet operational needs, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.

• Review and analyze accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness, and provide assistance with training needs to the AP Specialists.

• Assist with monitoring delinquent accounts, collaborating with sales and initiating collection actions when necessary.

• Assist with the management of financial information and support needed for the annual audit process.

• Ensure compliance with the company’s financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Address and answer questions from Business Units and Group Finance.

• Identify and proactively provide solutions for automation and process improvement while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

• Backup others within the accounting/finance department as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Ceridian software

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Expertise in ERP Solutions

• Ability to use About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Proficiency in SAP

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Accounts receivables systems
