Robert Half Systems Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a range of tasks related to system administration, including the design, installation, deployment, and maintenance of our infrastructure. The role offers a contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the current new build process and monitor for improvements

• Disable the saving of files to local computers to ensure data security

• Enforce synchronization of OneDrive for My Documents, Desktop, Favorites to maintain data consistency

• Implement and manage Bitlocker Encryption, including key storage and application to new builds

• Enable Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) for local admin password rotation and document the process

• Prohibit the upgrade to Windows11 to maintain system stability

• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Database, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Configuration Management, and Deployments

• Participate in the design and deployment of vSphere, Microsoft Azure, and Azure Active Directory

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry trends and advancements

• Collaborate with the team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Systems Engineer

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Demonstrated experience in Database management

• Knowledge of Active Directory

• Familiarity with Backup Technologies

• Skilled in Configuration Management

• Experience in Deployments and Design

• Proficiency in working with vSphere

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Familiarity with industry best practices and standards
