DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB DESCRIPTION Supervising Senior Associate - Tax

KEY OBJECTIVE: Chubb is looking for a Supervising Sr. Associate - Tax to assist in the preparation of tax provisions as well as US Federal and state tax returns for a large US multinational company that includes both insurance and non-insurance companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Assist with preparation of US GAAP tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and statutory tax provisions in accordance with statutory requirements  * Timely preparation/review of federal income tax returns for both insurance and non-insurance subsidiaries  * Timely preparation/review of state and local tax returns, including income tax, premium tax, property tax and sales and use tax  * Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies; assist with state tax audits as needed  * Prepare computations related to and processing of quarterly/periodic estimated tax payments  * Research tax law to confirm tax positions taken on returns are appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS: * BS/BA in accounting, finance, taxation, or business management required; a higher degree including MST, JD, or MBA preferred * Three or more years previous tax provision experience required, public accounting experience a plus * General corporate insurance tax knowledge with exposure to state and local income tax return preparation preferred, but not required * Desired interest in technical growth and career advancement. * Strong verbal and written communication skills and business partnering skills required * Analytical and detail orientation required with strong organizational skills * Intermediate Computer Skills in Microsoft Office products required; Experience with Corptax or other tax compliance software desired; Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger software a plus * Proficiency in Tax research
