OSIsoft, LLC Staff Software Developer in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania

Recognize, articulate, and make technical decisions / trade-offs around multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, etc.) that have an impact on team. Design, develop, test, and debug software applications. Deliver software on-time and constantly work to make accurate estimates and deliver on those estimates. Provide technical support of products including direct customer support and escalated issues. Document product behavior and implementation details. Collaborate with team members on how to approach and prioritize development efforts. Understand and proactively follow team processes, documentation, best practices, and code style guides. Communicate technical work through design docs and tech talks. Identify areas for improvement at the program or team level in technical systems or processes, and drive resolutions in collaboration with teammates. Act as an effective technical mentor for one or more junior developers and provide technical guidance across the team. Take an active role in recruiting new developers. Telecommuting permitted 2 days/week.

 

This position requires a Bachelor's, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or a related field and 5 Years of experience as a Software Product Developer or Application Developer or related occupation.

 

Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Developing software in major programming languages such as C++, C#/.NET, and JavaScript, and with building and designing large connected systems including devices, servers, and cloud environments. (2) Proactively providing confident technical guidance to less experienced coworkers. (3) Software product or application development experience in major programming languages such as: C++, C#/.NET, or JavaScript. (4) Software design patterns (objected oriented design), Computer Science fundamentals/principles and methodologies, as well as knowledge of operating system internals.
