JOB DESCRIPTION:

Demonstrate established leadership and influence at the team level and beyond. Proactively find gaps and areas of improvement in technology and team processes and help lead your team in addressing them. Act as an effective technical mentor for one or more junior developers. Work in areas of the codebase outside of their own core competency with minimal guidance. Effectively identify and communicate project scope, complexity, and expectations across functions (e.g., Product, Design, Documentation). Identify other development teams that will be affected by their work and proactively works to align goals. Plan projects that best use team resources available while delivering a product that meets OSIsoft's standards. Consider both technical and business needs when planning development work. Take an active role in recruiting new team members and new developers in general. Recognize, articulate, and make technical decisions / trade-offs around multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, etc.) that have an impact on your team. Design, develop, test, and debug software applications. Deliver software on-time and constantly work to make accurate estimates and deliver on those estimates. Understand and proactively follow team processes, documentation, best practices, and code style guides. Persistent in the face of roadblocks; dispatch them efficiently, pulling in others as necessary. Provide technical support of products including direct customer support and escalated issues. Communicate technical work through design docs and tech talks. Give insightful feedback on pull requests, engineering designs, and features. Expand your working knowledge of your respective technical domain. Act as an effective technical mentor for one or more junior developers and provide technical guidance across the team. REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Software development teams and software development life cycle; (2) Agile practices; (3) OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns; and (4) C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

RATE OF PAY: $140,046.00 per year
