Job Summary

Comcast is seeking a highly collaborative and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Competitive Intelligence to join our Strategy, Planning, and Analysis team within Growth Strategy Operations. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of our go-to-market CI initiatives. You'll take the reins in monitoring critical competitive activities, such as pricing and offers, media spend, and channel developments. You'll then document and disseminate meticulous reporting to key stakeholders across our core businesses (residential broadband, mobile, and video services).

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Competitive Offer Tracking and Analysis : Monitor and analyze competitors' pricing strategies, promotions, and product launches. Create reports highlighting key competitive activities and their market impact.

  • Media and Sentiment Analysis : Analyze competitors' media campaigns and spending, integrate social sentiment insights to understand public perception, and develop relevant conclusions.

  • Continuous Learning and Accurate Reporting : Maintain and expand knowledge of internal and external intelligence sources, utilize analytics tools to gather and interpret competitive data, and ensure accurate, timely, and relevant reporting for stakeholders.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration : Work with teams across Business Intelligence, Consumer Research, Investor Relations, Frontline, and Communications to integrate competitive insights into broader data analysis and consumer behavior studies, and support Investor Relations with impactful competitive intelligence.

  • Drive and Manage Competitive Intelligence Portals : Oversee user-friendly portals, train internal stakeholders on their use and value, and regularly update with the latest competitive information and insights.

  • Ad Hoc Support : Respond to requests for competitive intelligence from various departments by providing tailored analyses, reports, and competitive stack-ups comparing Comcast’s offerings with key competitors.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience and expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Sharp Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking : Exceptional attention to detail and a keen sense of curiosity to uncover key issues, patterns, or deviations from the norm.

  • Engaging Communication Skills : Ability to “tell the story” behind key metrics and confidently present and explain insights to internal stakeholders.

  • Expertise in Reporting : Proven experience in producing regular reports and alerts on various topics, including market trends, competitor activities, and strategic insights.

  • Independent and Collaborative Work Style : Capable of managing multiple workstreams independently while interfacing with all levels in a highly matrixed environment, building strong relationships with internal and external parties, including third-party vendors.

  • Continuous Improvement Advocate : Provide actionable recommendations to enhance competitive intelligence data sources and processes.
