Description:

Position Summary The Systems Engineering Advisor will support the IT infrastructure and will require desktop support, Windows systems and network administration, and scripting skills. A solid understanding of Information Security theory and operation is also required. Responsibilities will involve operational and project work. Responsibilities • Support the IT infrastructure team for operational and project work. • Research and resolve requests within defined SLAs. • Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed, comprehensive documentation and diagrams. • Collaborate on projects with senior team members which may require independent research. Skills & Experience • At least 5-10 years experience in similar roles. • Intermediate Active Directory management (must understand core AD, DNS, and GPO). • Intermediate Windows Server administration (must understand security, and NTFS and share permissions). • Intermediate AWS and M365 administration in a hybrid environment. • Desktop engineering—creating and maintaining images, software deployment, and patching. • Experience with Quest KACE K1000 (IT asset management, software deployment) or similar (SCCM, etc.). • Experience with Quest KACE K2000 (desktop imaging) or similar (SCCM, etc.). • Intermediate network troubleshooting skills. • Ability to automate tasks by utilizing registry modifications, batch files, and PowerShell. • Ability to support Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 on Dell desktops and laptops, and related peripherals. • Ability to support MS Office suite and other standard and custom business applications. • Ability to support Apple iOS and Android devices in a corporate setting. • Proficiency in English with excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of employees and external parties. • Customer-oriented. • Punctual and reliable. • Any additional scripting or programming knowledge such as Python and JSON is a big plus. • Bachelor’s degree in IT related major. • Desire to advance and learn while being able to handle recurring tasks such as patching and audit requests.

• This company supports US and Bermuda - 3 locations in US - Philly (HQ), NY and Miami and then a small office in Bermuda. - 115 employees - Servers are a mix of on prem and cloud - Using Vmware currently but migrating VMs to cloud. Going to migrate to Azure VM so not focusing on a VM administrator
