University of Pennsylvania Research Associate in GI Oncology in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include collaborating with colleagues in the lab of Dr. Gregory Beatty. Successful applicants will have experience in the field of oncology with a focus on pancreatic cancer. Selected applicants will be highly productive researchers who will work towards research independence.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop the skills required for independent research.

Excellent organizational and time management skills are required as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with all members of the lab as well as external collaborators.
