Robert Half Project Accountant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half has an opening for an experienced, driven Project Accountant to provide leadership and know-how to a growing team. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the team in a day-to-day accounting capacity including the preparation of development draw requests, management of accounts receivables/payables, budgets, pay applications, invoice review/processing, We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills that excels working in a challenging and fast-paced work environment while contributing to the continued success of the firm.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing invoice/pay application submissions for compliance with general standards and contracts.

  • Receiving and organizing invoices/pay applications for internal and external equity/lender review and approval.

  • Managing the web-based accounting system, including invoice entry and contract assignment.

  • Reviewing and posting new vendors, contracts, and invoices/pay applications.

  • Leading weekly AP meetings and overseeing payment processing.

  • Collaborating with the Development Team and AP staff to ensure timely invoice payments and meeting deadlines.

  • Managing the construction loan draw process for multiple loans.

  • Utilizing skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, Microsoft Excel, Yardi, and construction.

    Requirements

The ideal Project Accountant candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or actively pursuing CPA designation preferred.

Other requirements for the Project Accountant position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience with various accounting software and databases, Yardi preferred, but not required

  • Construction experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity

  • High attention to detail; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
