The Program Assistant will provide support for the fast-paced day-to-day operations of the Temple WELL program. He/she will assist in receiving clients, providing administrative and outreach support, entering data into data systems, timely filing of paper and electronic documentation anddemonstrating excellent digital literacy and writing skills. This position reports to the WELL Associate Director of Adult Education.

Required Education & Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma. Two (2) years related work experience in a fast-paced office environment, with excellent digital literacy skills and data entry skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered..

Required Skills & Abilities:

Sitting for extended periods of time, prolonged exposure to computer monitors, frequent direct interaction with faculty, administrators, staff, demanding intensive concentration and excellent listening skills, must prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives while under stress of a demanding work schedule, manual dexterity to manipulate keyboard, mouse, maintains a positive and objective customer service approach and attitude even when confronted with difficult situations. Ability to speak clearly. Ability to see clearly with corrective lens. Ability to use hands. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to worka computer for an extended period of time. Ability to manipulate and assemble files. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates proficiency in written and verbal communication, i.e., grammar, formatting, writing, verbalcommunication style/tone, etc.

Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrates organizational skills - with attention to detail.

Strong proficiency and experience with E-mail, Internet, MS Office products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), GoogleApps, data management, contact management systems, etc.

Knowledge of adult education, welfare-to-work, or similar programs (preferred)

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service. This is a grant funded position.
