NBCUniversal Local is seeking a General Manager for the Philadelphia market – featuring its Owned TV Stations for NBC (WCAU) and Telemundo (WWSI) and its Regional Sports Network (NBC Sports Philadelphia) comprising a significant platform in content development and digital media. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead fully functioning broadcast portfolio of TV stations and RSN, comprised of News, Content, Live production, Sales, Promotions, Technology and other support functions.
Design and deliver a competitive ratings and revenue growth strategy in the marketplace which leverages the best of the core business and optimizes opportunities across new media platforms
Manage business P&Ls to meet challenging goals for Revenue, Cost, Quality & Growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with team partners
Manage an operational team of 300 employees across a diverse spectrum of professions and specialties
Establish close partnerships with customers, advertisers, labor unions and content suppliers
Build & maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders in the local community
Support and maintain the journalism standards expected at an owned NBCU Television station
Identify opportunities to grow multi-platform content and distribution capabilities
Required Qualifications:
Operational leadership experience within local television, including experience at a large market TV Station and/or a Regional Sports Network
15+ years leadership experience
