Job Title: Shop Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated supervisor to lead our team in a dynamic industrial environment. Ideal exepreince for the role is manufacturing processes and possess the ability to manage operations efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within the production area, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

  • Manage and coordinate workflow among team members, providing guidance and support as needed

  • Utilize industrial painting techniques and materials handling practices to ensure efficient production processes

  • Employ precision measuring instruments for quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process

  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, coordinating with procurement as necessary

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within an industrial or manufacturing setting

  • Knowledge in industrial painting, materials handling, and operating precision measuring instruments

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse management practices

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in painting, supervision, industrial production, paint preparation, and industrial painting processes

Work Environment

You will be working in a relatively clean, safety-oriented environment that is organized and relaxed. Acceptable attire includes work pants such as Dickies or jeans.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
