Job Description Summary

Working within the Library's Core Services department, the OnBase Systems Analyst's primary responsibilities will be administering and supporting the University Records Center's installation of Hyland OnBase and to act as a technical resource for on-campus customers of the service. This will involve ongoing maintenance of the OnBase system, designing and implementing document management processes and integrations, and troubleshooting issues. The job will entail working with new campus partners to plan implementations and provide ongoing support to existing partners. The position collaborates with the records management program within the University Archives & Records Center (UARC), part of Penn Libraries. UARC is tasked with ensuring effective records and information management practices and policies are supported and implemented throughout the University of Pennsylvania and OnBase is a key part of UARC’s strategy. The position works with sensitive data and will help develop protocols for backup, data security, and compliance with appropriate regulations such as FERPA and HIPAA. Our collections include current and historical documents related to Penn students and alumni, the business and research of the university, and the Penn hospital system. Additionally, the OnBase Business Systems Analyst will work as part of the Core Services team proving administration, integration, deployment, and support services for the Libraries portfolio of locally developed and commercial applications hosted in Penn's on-campus data center and in the cloud. The Libraries provide a collaborative working environment and supports staff with opportunities to participate in relevant training and earning of certifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement document management processes using OnBase. Leverage OnBase API, C# and other tools to enhance OnBase solutions to meet business needs of customers.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the OnBase system and provide guidance and support to customers. Assist in testing and troubleshooting workflows and processes. Answer questions and develop and maintain system documentation and user manuals.

• Collaborate with System Administrators, Dev Ops engineers, and Developers to deploy, integrate, and administer enterprise applications.

• Working collaboratively with the Core Services Team, provide ongoing support and maintenance for the OnBase system. Continuously monitor and assess system performance, identifying and addressing any issues.

• Build reports using the Hyland Report Services module and/or writing custom SQL scripts against the OnBase database for support and administration purposes.

• Participate in best practices such as integration testing, tracking QA process, and coordinating UA testing.

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
