Summary:

Responsible for the overall coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. These responsibilities include but not limited to use of organizational skills, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing patient care through the use of hospital and nursing standards.

Responsibilities:

· Provides case management to a group of patients by providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.

· Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities to clinical staff, (RN, LPN, MA, Med Assist, etc.) Lead clinical staff in wound care center daily patient assignments.

· Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center physicians, program director and medical director, regarding clinic and patient needs

· Consistently looks at current processes and procedures and identifies and implements areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH and hospital requirements. Collaborates with program director to maintain wound center policies and procedures.

· Provides oversight to team as it relates to the seamless delivery of great quality care and great service using effective processes and tool. Responsible for administrating the quality improvement program for the Wound Care Center.

· Engages in staff development, providing general in services as well as individual instruction and orientation. Collaborates with Program Director in coordination of the Center’s objectives, and clinical outcomes. Attends monthly panel physician, staff meetings, and PPMC RN Manager meetings.

Credentials:

Req Pref Licenses/Registrations/Certifications Licenses/Registrations/Certifications

Registered Nurse – PA X

Basic Cardiac Life Support, ACLS, PALS

Qualifications/Education:

Bachelors Nursing 5+ years Relevant experience, prior management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Masters of Arts or Science preferred
