Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a NetApp Storage Engineer that will be fully remote with occasion site visits to the Philadelphia area. The job involves playing a crucial role in our IT department, focusing on storage engineering. You'll be instrumental in handling our NetApp and HPE SAN systems, particularly during the migration phase.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the migration from NetApp to HPE Alletra, focusing on SAN-only migration in Phase-1.

• Prepare for Phase-2, which involves migration from legacy servers to 2 new HPE servers.

• Be capable of performing both remote and on-site tasks, including physical cabling.

• Assist in ensuring that the physical connectivity aligns with best practices and our collaborative design.

• Be open to traveling on-site when necessary.

• Utilize your skills in 'Storage engineering', 'SAN - Storage Area Network', 'Hewlett-Packard Quality Center', 'NetApp Storage', and 'Server Migration'.

• Be prepared to continue with the project after the initial phase, assisting in the migration to 2 new HPE servers.

• Be proactive in maintaining accurate records and resolving any technical issues promptly.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.

Requirements • Proficiency in NetApp Storage, including setup, configuration, and maintenance

• Solid understanding of Storage Engineering principles and practices

• Practical experience with SAN - Storage Area Network

• Familiarity with Hewlett-Packard Quality Center and its applications

• Experience in Server Migration, including planning, execution, and troubleshooting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with teams and clients

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications in NetApp Storage, SAN or Hewlett-Packard Quality Center will be an added advantage. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
