The Nanomedicine Sales Specialist mid-Atlantic for Cytiva is responsible for the growth plan for their assigned territory selling the Nanomedicine (previously known as Precision NanoSystems) line of instruments, consumables and services directly to life science segments such as pharma, academia, biotech and government. The Sales Specialist develops and owns the growth plan for their assigned territory selling the Nanomedicine business (previously known as Precision NanoSystems) line of instruments, consumables and services directly to life science segments such as pharma, academia, biotech and government.

The Sales Specialist will collaborate with their Account Manager, Field Application Scientists (FAS), Scientific Inside Sales Specialists and Service Sales Specialists to maintain and grow the territory. This includes working with existing accounts as well as prospecting for new customers.

This position is part of the Genomic Medicine USCAN Commercial team located in mid-Atlantic and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Work with the Account team to successfully navigate and manage complex sales negotiations. Successfully engage and manage a multi-step sales process for both capital instruments and consumables

  • Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in consultative sales processes. Deliver technology and applications overview presentations, often in tandem with your FAS, to articulate PNI’s value proposition based on the needs of the customer

  • Facilitates resolution of customer issues by demonstrating a strong broad base of knowledge in business processes, PNI solutions and domain expertise

  • Provide regular accurate sales forecasts, sales pipeline management activities, organize/maintain account and customer contact management in CRM system

Who you are:

  • BSc. in a Life Sciences discipline is required. A Ph.D. and strong nanoparticle formulation or cell/molecular biology background is an asset

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in the biotechnology industry, with demonstrated aptitude towards the selling process and a proven team player

  • Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: 1) 30% travel mainly within territory and occasional travel to USCANhead office in Marlborough or manufacturing site in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 2) Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 3) Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated understanding of nano-particle applications or genomic medicine technologies

  • Experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities through successful execution

  • Success in cross-functional collaboration

The salary range for this role is $82,400-$144,220. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
