Position Summary

The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and will mainly be responsible for reviewing the Company’s control environment and identifying and evaluating organizational risks, as well as implementing controls to mitigate risks identified. In addition, the position will also be required to design and execute audit procedures to ensure adherence to established accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build out the internal audit function with a focus on demonstrating internal audit’s ability to add value to the organization through control recommendations and process improvements

  • Develop relationships across the organization to be seen as a solution provider to both operations and management teams

  • Oversee and guide the development of internal audit staff over time, potentially leading to them being resources for the operations or corporate accounting/ FP&A teams

  • Review all processes and assess internal controls from a design and operating effectiveness perspective, making recommendations as needed

  • Assist management in identifying and evaluating organizational risks

  • Design and execute audit plans to adequately address identified risks

  • Ensure compliance with established accounting policies as well as controls identified within the policies

  • Plan and execute substantive audit procedures over subsidiaries in the US and abroad

  • Review audit findings with management and make process improvement recommendations

  • Perform audit assist work with the external audit firm as needed

  • Perform special projects including those directly requested senior management of the Company

  • Supervise internal audit staff and perform review of work performed

  • Assist with integration of acquired companies

  • Position requires 40-50% travel

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

  • 6+ years of audit experience with progressing responsibilities, public accounting/SOX experience preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant or other financial certification a plus

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Self-starter, results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines

  • Dynamic, fast learner who is highly organized, analytical and detail oriented

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization and outside advisors
