Job Title: Aircraft Structures Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician who is capable of performing both minor and major structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials. The candidate must demonstrate a full understanding of blueprints for modifying or fabricating new parts and ensure that all work complies with FAA regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and special inspections, correct discrepancies, service systems, adjust, repair or replace parts, and assemble as authorized and assigned.

  • Determine malfunctions by performing standard tests and inspections using common and diagnostic test equipment.

  • Remove, inspect, assemble, and install major helicopter components, parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

  • Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair or replace, assemble, and install airframe parts and assemblies; inspect, remove, repair or replace, and assemble engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and ambient systems.

  • Service all aircraft systems and support towing, parking, mooring, and storage of aircraft as required.

  • Wash, clean, and prepare aircraft for customer delivery if required.

  • Perform and maintain paperwork on jobs performed, materials used, tasks completed, and time spent.

  • Provide on-the-job training for co-workers as assigned.

  • Be available and qualified to travel as assigned by the Operations Director to perform routine, preventive, or corrective maintenance and support company or customer-owned aircraft.

  • Support the shop with wrapping, unwrapping, crating, and uncrating of components.

  • Work with computers to document work performed.

  • Follow FOD inspection criteria, maintaining the workplace and parts clean and organized.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of aviation experience.

  • Experience in repairs of helicopter dynamic components is a plus.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in entering information on computers for work performed.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 regulations.

Work Environment

FAA Part 145 Completions & Repair Facility. The role involves working a 4-day, 10-hour per day shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The facility adheres to strict safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a well-organized work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
