Are you interested in becoming an early childhood teacher? Children's Village, a high-quality childcare center serving children for over 40 years, is hiring individuals for a unique paid work/learning opportunity.
Selected applicants will receive paid training and supervised in person experience working with toddlers, preschool, and school age children. At the completion of the paid training, individuals will be qualified to be employed as classroom aides in certified childcare programs where they can have opportunity to further their professional development and receive support to pursue an early childhood education degree.
Description:
Onsite Paid Training -- 130 hours in classroom supervised experience assisting the teaching staff with:
- the care and educational programming with children.
- supervision of activities.
- enforcement of health and safety rules
Onsite paid education-40 hours required educational coursework including:
- first aid certification.
- CPR
- child development.
- developmentally appropriate classroom management.
- mandated reporter training
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday
8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (paid lunch)
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- High School Degree or equivalency certificate (GED)
- Interest in childcare (previous childcare experience not required)

- PA State Police Criminal History
- National Sex Offender Registry Verification
- Covid-19 Vaccination Required
