Summary:

  • The Cybersecurity Privileged Access Manager reports to the Cybersecurity Identity Management Sr. Manager and manages all engineering and operations aspects of the Privileged Access Management environment, currently centered around CyberArk. This role serves as the key contributor to the PAM discipline at Penn Med. They are responsible for executing the plan for growth, adoption, and maturing PAM. Requires technical and hand-on experience with CyberArk. This position manages the PAM practice; teaming is a strategic item requiring this role's input and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures full operability of CyberArk application (connectors, LDAP, etc.)

  • Provides input into PAM governance such as policy.

  • Executes project tasks.

  • Provides support over CyberArk to end users of the application.

  • Serves as ‘Vault Admin’ to onboard accounts into CyberArk as defined by Penn Medicine.

  • Understands and gathers business requirements, translates them to technical requirements and designs the solution to meet the tactical and strategic approaches.

  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

  • Participates in the definition of a tailored, differentiated set of Cybersecurity IDM services, a roadmap, and the development of underlying capabilities to enable them.

  • Defines, develops, and implements meaningful metrics to measure and improve the efficacy of Cybersecurity IDM capabilities.

  • Provides coaching and mentorship to nurture the development of staff in line with organization’s vision and values.

  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)

  • 7+ years of IT experience. (Required)

  • 2+ years of experience within Cybersecurity. (Required)

  • 2+ years of IAM cybersecurity experience. (Required)

  • 1+ years of hands-on CyberArk experience. (Required)

  • 1+ years of healthcare or related experience. (Preferred)

Certifications:

  • CyberArk Certification at level 2/ Defender or higher. (Preferred)

  • Certified Information Systems Security certification. (Preferred)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge in CyberArk.

  • Ability to contribute to the PAM program vision, technical capabilities, and roadmap, and execute complex, multiyear initiatives.

  • Experience with engineering highly available technical solutions and ensuring uninterrupted 24x7 operation.

  • Sense of urgency in implementing programs and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented, and practical.

  • Demonstrated experience in executing complex IT project with significant enterprise change management requirements.

  • Proven analytical rigor in formulating technical strategies, objectives, and measuring results.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, partners, and peers.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to synthesize complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
