About the Position

The Social Creative Team within our Creative Group produces engaging, impactful, thoughtful, exciting, and elevated content to represent a Fortune 30 brand across various social platforms. The SOCIAL CREATIVE LEAD of this group is passionate about storytelling and content creation on social media platforms. Well-versed in a multitude of platforms and tools – with the agility to adapt as platforms change – the SOCIAL CREATIVE LEAD is equal parts team leader, hands-on creator, and storyteller. Will lead by example and manage the newly formed social creative team, a talented group of social media creators that works with both the Social Media and Creative teams in our Communications group. This role will work closely with the Executive Creative Director and the Head of Social Media to strategize and set the direction of several social media projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The focus of this role will be on social media creative, but we see the role as broader: a true creative leader who supports our digital production team holistically from end to end in a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Work with Creative Group leaders, Creators, Producers, and Project Managers to strategize and define the creative direction in all social media projects.

  • Understand the brand’s goals, strategy, and tone of voice. Work with creative leadership to evolve the brand look, feel, and tone.

  • Collaborate with leadership to create briefs, assign jobs, allocate resources, and keep track of progress until delivery.

  • Be a hands-on, creative leader to ideate and execute a high volume of engaging content.

  • Understand and use insights based on real-time response, reporting, and market trends to make measurable, meaningful, and impactful connections with targeted audiences.

  • Lead by example and collaborate with different creative teams on rapid-fire requests, tight timelines, and longer-term projects.

  • Identify opportunities and solve problems proactively.

  • Set the standards on best practices, ideating, and execution.

  • Take feedback and communicate with the team to deliver positive results.

  • Help create a great work environment.

  • Help identify new talent. Mentor and guide the more junior team members.

  • Look for opportunities to improve our ideation, creative strategies, and production processes.

The skills and experience you should have:

  • 8+ years of relevant social media production experience, including experience in leadership roles (ACD or CD level).

  • Great storytelling and a creative mind that can envision the final piece.

  • Lives and breathes social. Regularly uses social media and knows best practices, formats, and capabilities.

  • Deep understanding and expertise in making platform-specific creative content on Twitter/X, TikTok, Meta platforms, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Culture expert. Knows how to capitalize on cultural moments and trends in a way that feels authentic to a brand.

  • Strong portfolio of digital storytelling experience with examples of multi-platform, social media work.

  • Passion for varied creative outlets, including video, editing, design, and writing.

  • A self-starter attitude, extraordinary content creation skills, capable of execution from start to finish.

  • Strong project management skills. Ability to switch from leading a project to hands-on work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to produce content quickly and extremely detail-oriented.

  • Experience working with nimble, creative teams to execute quickly.

  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with some (if not all) of the following skills and tools:

  • Videography and Photography: DSLR and mobile

  • Editing: Final Cut / After Effects / Premiere

  • Writing: Google Docs / Word

  • Art/Design: Adobe CC / PPT / Figma / Canva

  • MUST be open to appearing in content

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree.

  • Experience with corporate communication is a plus.
