Corporate Financial Systems Lead - 8221  

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Corporate Financial Systems Lead will be supporting global Finance System implementations within the PeopleSoft ERP with a focus on the General Ledger. Project initiatives include but are not limited to the following: regulatory changes such as IFRS17; GL implementations related to acquisitions; local ledger implementations. Additionally, this role will also provide oversight and leadership for the change request process in Chubb's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which are actioned through a managed service. Lastly, the role will include production support activities for the PS General Ledger.

This role requires thought leadership, strong engineering skills, change orientation, seamless execution, strong relationship management and effective communication capabilities.

Scope/Responsibilities  * Work with internal partners across Chubb such as Business, Operations, IT, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, HR and external vendor partner groups as needed for the project/program delivery and to identify and resolve barriers to drive orchestrated execution.  * Lead the IT delivery for development and implementation of system and process changes.  * Work closely with Global Finance groups to oversee the implementation of ERP system changes within the PS General Ledger.  * Manage the relationship and delivery of the change request process (i.e. field configuration and reporting hierarchy maintenance within the general ledger) in Chubb's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which is handled through a managed service partner.  * Support key control activities within the general ledger for month close, year-end close, and audit.  * Provide production support to global finance teams with general ledger related issues.  * Contribute to team projects in various capacities to support global project initiatives.  * Communicate regularly in accordance with agreed upon communications plan, which requires being able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.  * Prepare and deliver formal presentations on project and status for business and technology leadership.  * Partner with Risk, Compliance and Security to align with standards, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS  * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.  * Strong technical/software engineering background and experience managing development teams required.  * At least 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Accounting preferred  * Atleast 5 years of experience in managing end-to-end IT delivery of small to medium project initiatives.  * Experience in financial systems is preferred.  * Strong analytical skills and influencing skills to achieve results.  * Excellent written/verbal/presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate across all levels is required.  * Strong ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs and technical concepts in a simple, concise and crisp manner to technical and non-technical audiences.  * Other competencies include:  * Models company values; demonstrates high integrity; meets commitments;  * Demonstrates sense of urgency and accountability; sets priorities and acts on key issues;  * Demonstrates bias to be proactive rather than reactive; Team player mentality; prioritize organizational performance
