Job Summary

The Contract Manager is responsible for ensuring that business and legal operations of the organization are handled within Comcast Business guidelines and procedures. Provides legal advice and guidance to internal and external staff and executives in contract negotiations and compliance, product development and operations. Has in- depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

The Contract Manager role will be virtually based in the U.S. with no anticipated travel.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Receives contract escalations via web-based tools or e-mail and processes contract agreements/solutions through to signature.

  • Performs routine collaboration with Sales professionals in support of revenue generation (daily expectation is for the highest levels of internal/external customer service).

  • Works on a team with similarly skilled Contracts Managers in an extremely collaborative environment.

  • Contract Review responsibilities include examination and drafting of contracts including, but not limited to: master services agreements, statement(s) of work, change requests, special provisions, alternative terms, and pricing; all in compliance with corporate policies and business procedures and in collaboration with Comcast legal.

  • Drives the negotiation of MSA (Terms & Conditions), SOW’s, Sales Orders, RFP’s, pricing, and Product Specific documents.

  • Ability to process complex legal and business terms in the formulation of negotiation strategies in furtherance of revenue generation.

  • Provides continuous counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of matters.

  • Acts as initial point of contact for internal teams concerning legal aspects and interpretation of contracts.

  • Manages high volume of projects as assigned.

  • Works to establish processes that will create efficiencies.

  • Creates, updates and preserves important corporate records.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) preferred

  • 2 - 4 years related experience working with commercial contracts desired.

  • Demonstrated creativity in approach to legal language, processes, and solutions.

  • Proficient in redlining documents and creating comparisons of redlines using Microsoft Word.

  • Knowledge of customer telecom/cable/technical industries a plus.

  • Previous contracts manager or paralegal experience preferred.

  • Ability to project manage a queue containing a high volume of contracts at any given time.

  • View tight deadlines/pressure as an opportunity to show leadership and flourish.

  • Sufficient professional confidence so as to advise internal executives as well as negotiate with customer Counsel as may be needed.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Open to feedback and comfortable working in a team environment.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $55,124.31 USD-$129,197.61 USD
