Computed Tomography Technologist 

Role Summary 

We are looking for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing tomography techniques and examining computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation. The ideal candidate has a diploma from a recognized Radiology program and experience working in pediatrics. 

Key Results Area 

  • Conducts a variety of CT procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing 

  • Operate CT equipment and select technical factors 

  • Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time 

  • Document all related data 

  • Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, and self 

  • Identify, process, transfer, and archive patient exams including exam records, images, and patient demographics 

  • Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems 

  • Resolve and escalate complex issues 

  • Orient and train fellow staff technologists 

  • Other shift duties as assigned 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program is required 

  • Must have a CT license/certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, and a CPR Certification from the Red Cross or the American Heart Association 

  • Basic knowledge of CT imaging, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and radiology information systems 

  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills 

  • Capable of walking, standing stooping, carrying up to 50 lbs., typing on a keyboard throughout the shift
