Join us as a Civil Aviation Engineer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on wide-variety of large scale aviation design projects including plan preparation, design development, and quantity take-offs, while collecting and evaluating important project data. When you join us, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Performs civil design calculations computer modeling, calculations, detailing, and plan set production for runways, drainage, and utilities.

• Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.

• Work under the supervision of senior staff to produce quality design and plans and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, drainage, structural, etc.).

• Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes.

• Research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

• Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

• Attend and/or conduct client meetings, and interacts with clients.

• Provide resident engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or have the ability to sit for exam within one year of hire

• Substantial years experience design software including AutoCADD, Microstation, Geopak, InRoads, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, and other hydrology/hydraulics programs

• Substantial professional years’ experience on the design and/or construction of aviation projects

• Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
