To support our growth, we are currently seeking an Associate Program Manager for our Commercial Energy Division to lead and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs in New Jersey. You will manage commercial energy efficiency programs, including individuals who contribute to the programs’ performance.

This would require you provide technical guidance for energy efficient products, savings calculations, and best practices as well as build relationships and trust with clients, work collaboratively with the implementation team, internal IT teams, and marketing departments to implement a program within goal and budget.

What you will be doing:

  • Program implementation and management of a diverse team, quality control, and adherence to best practices to ensure successful program goal targets are met

  • Collaboration with multiple groups to ensure processing, outreach, IT systems and staff are aligned to reach a common annual goal

  • Technical guidance and knowledge of M&V (IPMVP Protocol) on common mechanical and electrical equipment in commercial buildings, including energy savings potential with a significant focus on HVAC, Building Automation systems, Lighting technologies, and Combined Heat and Power systems.

  • Ensuring evaluation benchmarks are being met and working with the utility evaluator to implement standard requirements for baseline selections and trend data

  • Day to day management of technical team, including guidance and judgement on electrical energy savings calculations, performance feedback and career development.

  • Ensure best practices in processes as well as on-site QA/QC standards for the program are met.

  • Interface with the client team for day-to-day planning and program rule questions.

  • Provide insight and recommendations for program changes based on existing market knowledge and program trends

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in (Energy/Environmental Studies, Communications, Business Admin, or related fields) and

  • 3+ years of experience in managing customer accounts, fostering relationships, and providing superior service. 

  • 3+ years of experience in creating and executing sales and/or outreach strategies or promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. OR

  • 7+ Proven experience in managing customer accounts, fostering relationships and providing superior service.

  • 7+ years of experience in creating and executing sales and/or outreach strategies or promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. AND

  • Must have valid driver’s license, able to pass an MVR and pass a background check and drug test. 

  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 75% of the time (reimbursement for mileage provided).

What we would like you to have:

  • Experience managing direct reports

  • Experience with Energy Efficiency Evaluation protocols and methodologies, Net to Gross savings calculations and financial forecasting

  • Knowledge of energy code standards for existing buildings and new construction such as IECC 2021, ASHRAE 90.1 2019 (incl. Appendix G), ASHRAE 62.1, LEED/WELL and other Green Building standards.

  • Experienced with using Technical Resource Manuals (TRMs) and supervising the development of tools that utilize deemed savings methodologies

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$64,273.00 - $135,392.00
