University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor, Academic Clinician, Pediatric Oncology in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric hematology/oncology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified or eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction of junior faculty, hematology-oncology fellows, residents, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, medical students, nurses, and clinical research staff.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient care focused on children, adolescents, and young adults at the Philadelphia University City Hospital. Outpatient clinical care will be split between the Buerger Oncology Clinic in Philadelphia and the Voorhees NJ CHOP Specialty Care Center. Candidates should have at least one year of experience after completion of pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training.

Opportunities in pediatric cancer research including enrolling and treating patients in clinical trials may be available.
