Job Description:

Neshoba County General Hospital - Nursing Home is seeking a responsible and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team. The RN Charge Nurse will be responsible for supervising day-to-day nursing care, assisting with direct resident care as needed, and ensuring high standards of patient care. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing care provided to residents
• Assist with direct resident care as needed
• Make rounds on each nursing station to oversee nursing care
• Observe, evaluate, and report any changes in resident condition
• Admit/readmit or assist with admission of new residents and discharge of residents
• Supervise meals in the dining room setting
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
• Attend and participate in all in-service educational programs

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license
• Nursing home experience is preferred
• Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to observe and evaluate resident conditions
• Proficiency in admitting and discharging residents
• Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively
• Commitment to providing high-quality care
