Job Summary: The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and other tasks to ensure their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a caring and patient demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of care.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Provide mobility assistance, including helping clients move around the home and transferring to/from beds or chairs.

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.

Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and changing bed linens.

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.

Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate records of care provided and client's condition.

Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.

Qualifications:

 

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required.

Previous experience as a PCA or in a similar caregiving role preferred.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving clients.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
