Job Description:

Neshoba County General Hospital - Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerical Radiology Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the radiology department with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position requires excellent communication, computer, and customer service skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule and confirm radiology appointments for patients
• Greet and assist patients upon arrival to the radiology department
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Input and update patient information in the computer system
• Prepare and manage radiology files and reports
• Coordinate with radiology technicians and other healthcare staff
• Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
• Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and faxing
• Assist in billing and insurance documentation as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and record-keeping
• Professional Phone Skills: Experience in handling phone calls professionally and efficiently
• Excellent Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to provide a positive experience for patients and visitors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare or radiology setting is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
