District 19 Community Services Board DevelopmentalDisability Services, located in Petersburg, VA is offering a full time Support Coordinator (formerly DD Case Manager) opportunity. This position will perform case management, service coordination, screening and assessments forchildren andadults diagnosed withdevelopmentaldisabilities.

Support Coordinatoris required to perform activities designed to assist an individual with DD in accessing needed medical, psychiatric, social, educational, vocational, residential, and other supports essential for living in the community and in developing his or her desired lifestyle.

Must have completed a bachelor's degree

in a human services field, including, but not limited to sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.

Must have at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities.

Home visits required, driving agency vehicle to conduct agency business, sitting at a desk for long periods of time, ability to make sound clinical judgment.

A bilingual (English, Spanish) candidate is preferred.

*Must have a valid Virginia Drivers License.

Salary: This is a Grade S-C7, starting annual salary is $50,068.00; salary is negotiable.
