Our client is looking for General Surgeon, Locum to Perm coverage, starting as soon as credentialed, on-going!

5-24 hour shifts per month.

Job Details:

Compensation: Negotiable

Reason for Coverage: Shortage

Practice Setting: Hospital base / 4 hours clinical

Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: based on patients coming into the ER.

Trauma Level/Designation: III

Documentation System/EMR: EPIC

Number of Operating Rooms: 9

Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 4

Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric

Required Procedures:

General Surgical Cases ADULT

General Surgical Cases TRAUMA

Laser Certification

Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures

Central Line Insertion

PA Catheter Placement

Ventilation Management

Chest Tube Insertion

Aneurysm repairs

Abdominal, Peripheral, Vascular Access Devices

AV Shunt

Cholecystectomy

Nissen Fundoplication

Hernioplasty

Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy

The facility will reimburse for the following costs: Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, and Mileage billed at the IRS Standard Rate.

Board Certified (ABOS, AOBOS) - REQUIRED

Active VA license - REQUIRED (must be currently active, will not accept providers needing to obtain license)

BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED

COVID Vaccinated - Preferred; must have by time of credentialing

Clean background is preferred
