District 19 Community Service Board Case Management Supervisor in Petersburg, Virginia
District 19 CSB offers a challenging Case Management Supervisor position.
Position primarily provides direct supervision to Children Services Case Managers in nine D19 service areas, and direct case management and/or outreach services to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities.
Essential job duties of this position include: administrative and clinical supervision to childrens mental health case management staff; assessment and planning services to include coordinating services and treatment planning with other agencies and providers; monitoring psychotropic medications; level of functioning; crisis and behavioral interventions.
Position also carries a small mental health and FAPT case management caseload.
Successful applicant must have a Master's degree in a Human Services field such as psychology, counseling or social work.
*Must have at least 1 year of experience providing case management services. Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
*Must have basic computer skills
Knowledge of human personality, growth, and development; mental health disabilities; evaluation of mental health disabilities; counseling techniques; crisis intervention; case management services; casework documentation; written, oral, and interpersonal communications; and interagency services coordination.
Skills in application of human personality, growth, and development to the mentally ill population(s); completing psycho-social evaluations of mentally disabled clients; providing individual, group, and family counseling/therapy; providing case management services for the mentally ill; maintaining casework documentation; communications (oral, written, and interpersonal); providing emergency/crisis intervention services to the mentally ill; providing mental health consultation and education services; and coordinating services for the mentally ill.
Ability to work effectively with all types/levels of persons; effectively implement interagency coordination of services for the mentally ill; work cooperatively with District 19 Mental Health Services staff involved in the provision of childrens services; be able to exercise sound judgment; demonstrate initiative; and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with child and adolescent SED cases in a mental health setting. Supervisory experience in Human Services.
Salary:
This position is a Grade S-C9. Salary range $57,967.00 - $65,211.00
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30
Telework:
This position is not eligible for telework.
