Job Title: Lead Technology Specialist
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

What experiences can the Test Data Systems team offer you?
We are automation champions! Using our skills in Information Technology (I.T.), coding, system integration and debugging, we develop, integrate, and configure automation and data management software and solutions; Delivering a comprehensive, feature rich, flexible, optimized and robust set of automated test solutions (logic and infrastructure) that can be used by our internal partners to efficiently develop our next generation of power systems!
As a Lead Technology Specialist in the Test Data Systems team, you will consult and lead projects, supporting and enhancing the I.T. infrastructure, solutions and processes that underpin the test automation platforms used within the Europe Research and Development Center!
What You Will Do
Job duties and responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
Manage the 200 PC systems and multiple network security zones (think firewalled subnets and their associated rulesets) that host/support our test automation
Manage our I.T. processes and standard work
Coordinate work for our I.T. Technicians (Prioritisation)
Engage in challenging work, solving real-world I.T. problems
Work effectively with our automation team comprised of Product Owners, Software Architects, System Integration Engineers, Automation Developers, Testers and I.T. Technicians
Consult on client requirements and propose technology solutions and business cases; guide in evaluating, selecting and utilizing new and existing tools and techniques
Provide subject matter expertise and solutions on comprehensive technology issues
Lead the design, testing and technology implementation of technical projects
Ensure that the design and implementation of technologies are compliant with existing standards and processes

Degree (minimum 2:2) in an I.T. discipline or equivalent relevant experience
Significant experience managing challenging I.T. projects, from requirements, to implementation and maintenance
Great understanding of the evolving I.T. landscape and a passion for learning in this space
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to troubleshoot system interaction issues, identify root causes and develop appropriate solutions
Coaches others in promoting, defining, analysing, and providing superior technical solutions to business problems
Coaches others on advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems
