Great opportunity to join a growing organization in Petaluma! As an Accounting Specialist, you will manage accounts receivable, ensuring seamless communication with clients and vendors. You will support the Controller with various accounting projects and serve as a backup for accounts payable. • Accurately process customer credit applications and keep up-to-date records of these transactions

• Conduct daily checks deposits and weekly cash deposits

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate actions for delinquent payments

• Manage customer credit inquiries and resolve any issues that arise

• Record revenue through the POS rental software program interface to QuickBooks

• Prepare daily closing reports and reconcile any discrepancies

• Handle accounts receivable related queries from store managers and sales team

• Maintain and update client general liability insurance certificates

• Assist in the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts

• Manage and update vehicle lists

• Provide support to the Controller on various accounting projects

• Serve as a backup for accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and maintaining the accuracy of the AP aging.

• Review and process employee expense reimbursements and credit card payments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable

• Solid grasp of accounting principles.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage several tasks, prioritize, and effectively manage time.

• Detail-oriented with impressive problem-solving skills.

• Excellent professional interaction skills with all staff levels.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business administration, or a closely related field preferred.

• Direct customer collection experience required.

• Self-starter capable of driving projects from beginning to end required.

• Experience using accounting software is required
