We are looking for a Senior Legal Executive to act as a legal advisor to the Market, providing operational legal advice, transactional and support services required in an effective, proactive and timely manner and with a commercial sense/focus in order to protect the Company whilst enabling flawless execution of the business objectives..

A day in the life of...

  • Delivering support in defined Legal & Compliance ("L&C") areas, as determined by the Head of Legal, and supporting the development of long-term strategies to accelerate the Legal team’s ability to protect and enable the organization in those areas.

  • Proactively training the organization on the L&C areas that the individual supports.

  • Working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels (potentially including senior management) to provide expert and business-focused day-to-day counsel across a broad scope of issues. As part of this, the individual will work collaboratively with the Market, Zone and Global contacts to leverage synergies and global expertise for the benefit of the local business and support the Center/Zone on Centre/Zone-led strategic initiatives including the implementation of L&C technology, as well as collaborating on market specific requests from the Center.

  • Identifying and exploiting cost-saving opportunities whilst maintaining quality and ensuring that L&C solutions in their area of responsibility are standardized and systematized to the extent possible, considering the differing needs of the various businesses and the legal digital tools available.

  • Other specific key outputs may be required if the L&C personnel is performing a specialist role. Supporting the Head of Legal and undertaking tasks delegated by the Head of Legal.

What will make you successful

  • Law Degree or other applicable professional designation from recognized and accredited school or certification body

  • Member in good standing with the applicable legal or professional body

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant L&C experience.

  • Experienced in drafting various types of agreements and managing the whole end-to-end process.

  • English and BM language skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.

  • Expertise in accountable L&C areas (identified above), supplemented by general knowledge of other L&C areas affecting the organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote
