Job Title: Maintenance Apprentice

Job Description

As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will work alongside the maintenance foreman to gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment. Your role will involve preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on boilers, process equipment, water boilers, and saws. You will also be responsible for changing out blowers and belts in the HVAC system, threading pipe, assisting with production as needed, and performing welding for minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Train alongside the maintenance foreman.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on boilers, process equipment, water boilers, and saws.

• Change out blowers and belts in the HVAC system as needed.

• Thread pipe.

• Assist with production when required.

• Perform welding for minor repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience OR a from a technical school

• Experience with welding

• Experience troubleshooting motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Work Environment

This is a first shift position from 7:00am-3:30pm in a union facility. The facility manufactures glass products for the semiconductor industry and employs a total of 10-15 people. It is a non-smoking facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perrysburg, Ohio

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
