Nammo Perry, Inc. Buyer/Subcontract Administrator in Perry, Florida

JOB SUMMARY: The Subcontract Administrator II is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors, as well as monitoring the performance of Nammo Perrys supply chain. The Subcontract Administrator supports Nammo Perrys on all matters related to subcontract requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Procure services, direct materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with established policies, regulations, technical requirements, and program schedules
  2. Serve as primary point of contact between Nammo Perry and its suppliers, ensuring effective and concise communications with little oversight.
  3. Locate, evaluate, and select suppliers based upon price, quality, availability, reliability, warranty, technical support, and on time delivery records. Nammo Perrys Supplier Selection Board will make selection.
  4. Analyze price proposals, financial reports, price indexes, forecasts and trending to determine fair and reasonable price with insight from Contracts and Supply Chain Director.
  5. Write, negotiate, issue, evaluate, and monitor subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure suppliers comply with TandCs of subcontract and purchase orders and to determine the need for changes.
  6. Ensure flow down of all mandatory, applicable, and optional contract requirements and clauses to vendors and suppliers. Coordinate with Nammo Perrys Program/FFM and Contracts Management teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met by Suppliers, as required
  7. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate availability to support production schedules
  8. Maintain and review records of items procured, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory levels through purchasing and item maintenance in Nammo Perrys ERP System
  9. Maintain Supplier related records ensuring required compliance records, on-time delivery records, quality or other delivery related issues, cost audit records (if applicable), and other pertinent supplier records are readily available.
  10. Support proposal efforts by issuing RFQs for required materials, tooling, and equipment.
  11. Maintain good employee relations, and adhere to our Affirmative Action Plan, Labor laws and EEOC rules and regulations
  12. Maintain adherence to Company policies and procedures, safety and environmental standards, and good housekeeping practices
  13. Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  1. Bachelors degree required
  2. Minimum of 2-4 years purchasing or related experience preferred
  3. Experience in international procurement preferred
  4. Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR
  5. Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Great Plains, SAP, Dynamics 365 or Oracle software
  6. Must possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a team-based atmosphere that includes both manufacturing and office environments
  7. Strong negotiation skills
  8. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of material

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  1. Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing
  2. Must have good vision (may be corrected)
  3. Must have no known hearing loss (may be corrected)
  4. Must be able to stand/walk/sit for prolonged periods of time
  5. Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and the ability to travel frequently
  6. Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed, including nights and weekends
  7. Must be able to pick up, handle, and otherwise work paper
