TEKsystems Systems Administrator in Pensacola, Florida

Job Description:

Responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and installing information systems (hardware and software). Advises university clients on the technical aspects of information systems and products. Collaborating with them to estimate the costs and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing information systems to meet the requirements. Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users, and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Duties: In addition to the general duties, the position is responsible for one or more “Major” systems and possibly one or more “Critical” systems. Requires a deep knowledge of these systems, taking ownership of their maintenance, and full life cycle.

• Responsibilities: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

• Minimum qualifications: Qualifications appropriate for previous step, recent related credential or certification and practical knowledge of the job area, advanced education or 2 years work experience in a systems support role.
