Shuvel Digital Instructional Designer-11692-Hybrid in Pensacola, Florida
Location: Pensacola, FL-Hybrid-1 day onsite is required
All Instructional Designer I expectations, plus:
Leads/manages complex and cross-functional projects with multiple deliverables and POCs with no or very minimal supervision; to include leading team meetings, updating leadership, documenting progress, developing and executing project plan, conducting postmortems, and meeting deadlines
Works well under pressure, in ambiguous situations, and with shifting priorities and dates; remains composed and can complete task on time and at a high quality; has the knowledge and experience to make sound and quick decisions that may impact the project or the client; is seen as a role model in this area
Conducts needs analysis on strategic and/or high profile projects, identifies the most effective instructional approach that meets client needs, develops complex training proposals, and can negotiate timelines and deliverables
Incorporates established design tools to ensure consistency in branding, standards, and aesthetics
Analyzes existing programs, striving for metrics to estimate return on training investment
Demonstrates strong expertise in the design and development of training and resource materials in a variety of formats and can pass on knowledge to newer teammates; no or very minimal rework is needed
Tests developed course content, training games, graphic designs and other technology driven products
Identifies organizational themes; conducts research for new programs; ensures new/existing content is aligned with the organization strategically and culturally
Collaborates with teammates in all locations to provide seamless service; ensure consistency in all content delivered by SMDLS
Comfortably and effectively facilitates meetings/discussions and conducts presentations for all levels of the organization, including leadership up to and including executives
Manages assigned projects including leading team meetings, updating leadership, documentation progress, developing and executing project plans, and meeting deadlines
Demonstrates forward thinking; drives implementation of new ideas and strategies in new and revised content
Anticipates areas of management concerns and needs via formal/informal avenues; identifies problems and potential solutions; communicates concerns and recommendations professionally to team and leadership

Qualifications – All required unless otherwise noted as desired
Bachelor's Degree in Education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Ability to adapt to fluctuating work-flow
Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
Experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
Significant experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products and delivery methods
Significant experience in researching/writing course content and/or developing courses, demonstrations, graphic designs and other technology driven products
Advanced knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processes and/or skills
Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources
Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
Advanced skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
Advanced skill in assessing departmental/branch training needs and researching topics for course development
Advanced skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership
Advanced skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations
Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
