Responsibilities

Drive an ambulance to transport ill or injured patients to the appropriate facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe transportation of ill or injured patients.

  • Maintain ambulance in clean condition and working order. Perform regular routine inspections prior toeach shift to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.

  • Assist with stocking the ambulance with needed supplies and ensure on-board equipment is in workingorder.

  • Perform the duties of an EMT or Paramedic, depending on qualifications, as needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Florida Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date required.

  • Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior tohire date or job transfer date required.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, OR Associate's degree, OR Technical degreerequired.
