THE POSITION

Are you ready for the next step in your stores control work career? The Hiram G. Andrews Center - Business Division is seeking a Storekeeper 2 to oversee the operation of our storeroom. Help ensure our team has all the supplies it needs to conduct comprehensive rehabilitation services and keep campus running. Do not miss the opportunity to share your talents in this rewarding role!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Storekeeper 2, you will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies in our Center Storeroom. This includes supervising staff and ensuring storeroom operations are cost-effective and in compliance with Commonwealth regulations. You will also oversee ordering, inspect all commodities received, and resolve problems and discrepancies. Work involves communicating with staff and vendors, training staff and student workers, completing and submitting paperwork to track commodities, and maintaining open communication with the Purchasing Department and Accounting Department. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Overtime is required on occasion.

  • This position is eligible for Alternate Work Schedules (AWS) .

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in stores control work, including two years of supervisory experience or in charge of a storeroom with considerable volume and variety of commodities; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a standard high school or vocational school;or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
