THE POSITION

Are you an experienced, energetic sales professional interested in serving a specific sales territory within the Allegheny County area? If so, the Pennsylvania Lottery has the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product, guidance, and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also use your sales skills to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will be required to navigate a web-based portal and be PC and iPad proficient, read and interpret sales data, as well as communicate effectively with business owners and customers the value of Lottery products, and detailed information about procedures and the products. You will have the opportunity to interact and engage players at retailer events, work with other sales representatives at retailer events and, when necessary, while conducting normal business, lift or carry up to 40 lbs., work overtime on a limited basis, and work or drive in all types of weather conditions.

This position is home headquartered, and you will be expected to report to your area office on a weekly basis.

There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 am to 7:30 pm for one week to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work;or

  • Any equivalent experience and training.

    Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

    Additional Requirements:

  • You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.

  • You must reside in one of the following zip codes within Allegheny County: 15132, 15131, 15236, 15122, 15129, 15037, 15025, 15034, 15045, 15207, 15133, 15088. Relocation is not an option.

  • You must possess four or more years of sales experience.

  • You must possess four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment.

  • You must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

  • You must be available to work the required work schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
