THE POSITION

The Torrance State Hospital is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our skilled dietary services team as a Food Service Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for food preparation while ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental standards, as well as maintaining health and sanitation regulations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Food Service Workers work together with the dietary management team to provide a seamless flow of patient meal production and service. You are trained in operating dish washing machines and floor scrubbers, reading tray tickets, and portioning out foods to meet diet guidelines. In addition, you will maintain high sanitation standards by correctly performing cleaning tasks. We foster teamwork, open communication, and positive attitudes. Our staff takes pride in the meals we serve, and we strive to ensure patient meal satisfaction.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM may be required as needed.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
