BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date._ Expected Duration: 12 Months Job Type: 40 hours work week Pay Rate: $60/hr to $65/hr Position SummaryResponsible for designing and developing complex requirements to drive solutions for the business. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirementsRole Overview:The Cleared Derivatives Risk Technology (CDRT) team has an opportunity for a Feature Lead (Technical Lead)/Senior Python (Quartz) Developer.This role will participate and lead the design, development, and support of our OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Intraday Risk and Clearing Certainty Platforms.The team operates in a lean agile manner and engages closely with business and credit risk partners to provide solutions for the Bank of America Securities Clearing Franchise.Responsibilities* Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing software using Object-Oriented Design patterns.* Lead the designing, development, and testing of our Risk applications for the Cleared Derivatives Business.* Collaborating with other teams to understand and resolve issues.* Reports on project status and issues.* Creating technical documentation* Mentor junior developersRequired Skills:* 7+ Years of experience in Python 3.x* Experience with Pub/Sub and Queue Messaging Systems (AMPS Preferred)* Database skills - SQL, Oracle, Table Design experience* Able to adopt and leverage a N-Tier Component Based Architecture* Analytical and Object-Oriented Design/Programming SkillsDesired Skills:* A degree in computer science or a related field* Proven ability to work within a team with good interpersonal communication skills* Comfortable with an Event Based Paradigm, Multithreading, and Asynchronous concepts* Eager and willing to learn the business and existing systems* Quartz Stack - DAG, QzRT, QFS Deal Model* Familiarity with IRS, CDS, Repos, and Futures/Options Products.* MongoDB - NoSql, JSON, design patterns.* React JSBenefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
