Spa Attendant

SUMMARY

The Spa Attendant will primarily provide guests with exceptional service when checking guests into the spa, fitness and public areas providing a thorough tour of forementioned areas while maintaining cleanliness and ensuring supplies, amenities and products are well stocked for guest use.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in greeting and welcoming guests and providing a full orientation tour of all of the wellness public areas such as the locker rooms, pool, and fitness center

  • Create spa and recreation reservations, make product/retail recommendations, and ensure that their spa day is scheduled appropriately

  • Cash handling, collecting payment for services, ensuring all transactions are closed

  • Ensure guests are set up with a clean and inspected lockers to store their belongings

  • Daily set-up and breakdown of the spa refreshments such as: snacks, teas, and water

  • Assist with the cleanliness and organization of all public areas.

  • Removal of all used/soiled linen and restocking with clean linen as needed

  • Ensuring an adequate supply of clean towels and guest-wear are immediately available for use.

  • Provide services to guests in a timely, courteous and proficient manner.

  • Stock the pool host stand and ensure it is well organized, neat, and filled appropriately

  • Seat guests as they arrive to the spa pool and ensure they are attended to as needed

  • Assist fellow associates with daily operations to support healthy teamwork and contribute to the success of the Spa.

  • Assist in any other function as requested by Spa Director, Hotel Manager and/or General Manager as it pertains to the spa, lounges, indoor/outdoor area, fitness center, and pool area

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 -2 years of customer service experience

  • Ability to push/pull large bins of both soiled and clean linen daily throughout the hotel for processing and distribution

  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English

  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle billing

  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English

  • Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    PREFERRED

  • Prior front desk, spa or health club experience preferred

  • High school or equivalent education preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Position requires walking and providing detailed tours of the spa shared public areas; Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and push of clean and soiled laundry bins to fulfill cleaning tasks and physical demands of job.
