Sr Supervisor, Warehouse

POSITION SUMMARY:

Train and lead the warehouse stores analysts to ensure optimized flow of work orders and kitting output, meeting both customer demand and maximized production capacity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage day to day activities of the warehouse analysts.

2. Analyze and track warehouse work order metrics (lead time, units per day, aging, etc.).

3. Manage changing priorities to optimize customer requirements.

4. Maintain the daily kitting schedules and reports to meet optimum capacity of kitting output.

5. Use Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).

6. Communicate plans clearly and regularly.

7. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

8. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Primarily works in a manufacturing, shipping & warehouse environment which is fast paced and must adhere to safety requirements.

SKILLS:

1. Advanced knowledge of SAP and WMS Systems.

2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

3. Strong planning and analytical skills.

4. Detail oriented and process focused.

5. Strong Leadership to drive warehouse workforce to achieve the desired performance excellence and to initiate problem solving forum with cross function and inter-sites’ peers and leaders.

6. Multi-Tasking capability

7. Ability to motivate the workforce to enhance their morale.

8. Ability and proactive to engage and effectively resolve conflict situations and employee disciplinary and performance issues

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

5 – 7 years of experience in warehouse or planning.

Desirable:

Experience with proper handling of static sensitive material preferred.

EDUCATION:

Essential:

Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Production/Operations Management (or closely related field) or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree

Desirable:

Industrial Engineering, Materials/Manufacturing Management, or Business degree

Certification in Excel, or equivalent experience at an intermediate level.

OTHERS:

Candidate must willing work in Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
