About the Role: US International Tax Senior Associate

S&P Global is seeking a high performing and efficient US international tax senior associate to support the tax department function with duties related to income tax compliance and cross-border tax matters.

The Team:

A strong Excel and Oracle knowledge base and related practical experience is a preferred skill set for the role. The position will work closely with the existing US and Penang based internal tax team and outside advisors in order to successfully and efficiently meet and exceed tax department objectives.

What we're looking for:

  • Annually gather and prepare information for external tax advisors required for international related US Federal income tax compliance (primarily in support of forms 5471, 8858, and 5472) in collaboration with other team members;

  • Prepare FDII, BEAT, and Schedule M intercompany transaction information by pulling data from Oracle and delivering Excel reports;

  • Provide support for customer withholding tax documentation requests (Forms W-8BEN-E, tax residency certificates, permanent establishment statements, tax treaty forms, etc.);

  • Work closely with our Client Relations and Sales teams to answer international tax related questions and complete forms when requested by customers.

  • Involvement in IRS audit and other compliance matters;

  • Management of sales contracting exception requests; and

  • Other US international tax matters.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of applicable, practical experience.

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field required.

  • Eager to learn and highly motivated;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Detail oriented;

  • Ability to organize and maintain a large volume of information;

  • Technology experience (Excel, Oracle, and Smart View)
