GE Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer, Controls & Accessories Engine Test FTY in Peebles, Ohio

This role will lead the GE Controls & Accessories quality cross-functional team focused on Engine Test First Time Yield. Own the C&A FTY metric at engine test, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards while managing action items. Function as on-site point of contact for defect investigations. Collaborate with engine assembly and test team to resolve concerns.

The nature of this role requires onsite presence at the assigned location (Lynn, MA or Peebles, OH).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Quality discipline as well as analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.

  • Awareness of related job disciplines including business operations, purchasing, and engineering.

  • Essential Responsibilities: Own the engine test first time yield metric for the C&A commodity. Function as the onsite focal for all engine test FTY issues involving C&A hardware.

  • Collaborate with the SQE Team to manage investigations, drive improvements, and communicate corrective actions to the broader team.

  • Collaborate with the Sourcing fulfillment team to expedite returns from engine assembly and test.

  • Cross functional responsibilities will include support of business-critical product quality engineering and new product introduction (NPI) activities.

  • This is a new role designed to be embedded with the GE engine assembly and test team.

  • The nature of this role requires onsite presence at the assigned location (Lynn, MA or Peebles, OH)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in aerospace/automative quality or process engineering roles)

  • A minimum of 5 years experiencein aerospace/automative quality or process engineering roles).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in a Quality role leading RCCA activities; previous experience working directly with customers to resolve concerns.

  • Previous experience in aerospace or automotive industry quality
